About Dover House Bed and Breakfast
Dover House Bed and Breakfast is situated across from Lake Erie on a leafy ravine lot at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Port Dover, Ontario. Built in 1947 by the Ivey family, a longstanding family in the region, the house joins a nest of adjacent century homes also built and once owned by the Ivey's.
Inside, Dover House retains the architectural details of the period – coved ceilings, cabinetry built-ins, bay windows and the original hardwood floors. Outside, the spacious yard and gardens compliment a large deck built under the trees overlooking the ravine guaranteed to offer a breeze in a shady, cool area on those hot summer days.
Dover House is ideally located for lodging as it's an easy walk to everything – the beach, shops, restaurants, market, theatre and more. We're also just a short drive to Long Point, Turkey Point, a multitude of conservation areas, hiking and biking trails and dozens of wineries. There's all kinds of things to do!
We are proud of our heritage, our background in hospitality, and to be members of the Port Dover community. Come stay at Dover House Bed and Breakfast and enjoy the wonderful spirit of Port Dover.
